Terms of service

Draft for review. This text has not been checked by a lawyer yet and may change before launch.
Jumper.to gives each app one smart link and QR code. These terms are the agreement between you and Rania Abdo, Berlin, who runs Jumper.to. They are written to be read: if anything is unclear, write to hello@jumper.to.
1. Who we are
Jumper.to is offered by Rania Abdo, sole trader, Berlin, Germany (“we”, “us”). Full details are in the Impressum.
2. The service
A Jumper link sends each visitor to the right destination for their device: the App Store, Google Play, another app store you set, or a website or Jumper app page for everyone else. With a link come a QR code, an optional app page and optional hosted pages (such as a privacy policy for your app). We do not show ads or delay pages on your links.
We work hard to keep links fast and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. App stores and the apps that open links (such as Instagram or TikTok) change how they behave; we adapt as quickly as we can but cannot control them.
3. Your account
- You sign in with your email address; one account per person. Keep access to that mailbox safe: whoever can read it can sign in.
- You must be at least 16, and if you use Jumper for a company, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.
- An account can create up to 20 links a day.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Its links stop working at once and are deleted after 30 days.
4. Free links and the launch offer
- Every account has 3 free links with a random address. They have every core feature and renew for free every year (section 5).
- Launch offer. While payments are not yet available, every account can create up to 100 launch links at no charge. Launch links have every paid feature (custom address, your own QR logo, no Jumper footer, longer stats history) and the normal 12-month term.
- The launch offer can end at any time for new links. Launch links that already exist keep their full term. When a launch link comes up for renewal, it renews at the normal price at that time; we email you before that, and nothing is charged without your action.
- Prices are shown on the pricing page. A renewal costs the price at the time you renew.
5. How long a link lasts
- Every link, free or paid, runs for 12 months from when it was created or last renewed.
- We email the account 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before a link expires and on the expiry day.
- Free links renew for free with one click from that email, without signing in. The renewal button works for 45 days. Nothing renews automatically.
- After the expiry date a link keeps working for a grace period of 14 days.
- After the grace period, visitors see a neutral “this link has expired” page. Its hosted pages go offline with it.
- You can renew an expired link for 12 months after its expiry date. Renewing within the grace period extends the term from the old expiry date; renewing later starts a new term from the day you renew. Everything comes back as it was, including the QR code.
- 12 months after its expiry date an unrenewed link is deleted. Its address is retired and never given to anyone else.
6. What you may link to
Your links, app pages and hosted pages must follow our acceptable-use policy. We screen website addresses and hosted pages when you save them and afterwards, and we act on reports. A link we refuse when you create it is never published and does not use up a link.
7. Blocks, appeals and refunds
If a link breaks the acceptable-use policy, an abuse report against it is upheld, or a court or authority orders it, we may disable it. We email you the reason and a link to appeal; a person answers every appeal within 24 hours. If the appeal is upheld, the link is restored and its term is extended by the time it was down. A link disabled for cause is not refunded. The details are on Refunds and blocks.
8. Termination for cause
We may suspend or close an account, with immediate effect, if it is used for phishing, malware, fraud, child sexual abuse material or other serious or repeated breaches of the acceptable-use policy, or if the law requires it. Its links stop working. Paid time on links of an account closed for cause is not refunded. You may end your use of Jumper at any time by deleting your account.
9. Your content
You keep all rights to your app names, logos, pages and other content. You allow us to store, show and transmit them as needed to run your links, QR codes, app pages and hosted pages. You confirm you have the right to use what you upload and that your hosted pages are accurate (for example, that your privacy policy matches what your app does).
10. If Jumper shuts down
If we ever discontinue Jumper.to, we will email every account at least 90 days before. During those 90 days every link keeps working, and you can export your links and settings. We refund the unused part of any paid time, pro rata.
11. Liability
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law (such as the German Product Liability Act) requires it. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations (those that make the service possible and that you may rely on), and then only for the damage that was foreseeable and typical when the contract was made. Otherwise our liability is excluded. Free and launch links are provided at no charge; for them, our liability for slight negligence is excluded as far as the law allows.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for good reason, for example new features, payments, or changes in the law. We email you at least 30 days before a change that affects you. If you do not agree, you can stop using Jumper and delete your account before the change takes effect; paid time is then refunded pro rata.
13. Law and disputes
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in. If you are a business, the courts of Berlin have jurisdiction. We are not willing or obliged to take part in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.
